Before the Door of Temptation
The King’s heart was still pounding.
And his lips…
The smile had not faded.
He was afraid to look at the mirror again.
Yet, he could not tear his gaze away.
This was no mere illusion.
This was reality now.
“O King, it is time to open the door.”
That voice.
Toxcid.
The King turned his head.
At the center of the chamber,
a door had appeared.
It was darker than any mirror.
Deeper than any abyss.
Beyond it,
something was waiting for him.
The King knew it instinctively.
If he opened that door… there would be no return.
Yet—
He did not hesitate.
If anything… he wanted more.
The King reached for the handle.
The First Door Opens
“Open it.”
Toxcid’s whisper curled around him like silk.
And so—
He did.
Creak…
The door swung open,
and what lay beyond—
was not the desert.
It was not the tower.
The King’s breath caught in his throat.
Before him stretched an endless golden palace.
The floor shimmered like molten sunlight,
the walls were adorned with gemstones.
A grand banquet hall stood at the center.
And within it—
sat a hundred Kings.
Each of them was identical to him.
“Welcome, Your Majesty.”
They spoke in unison.
In their hands,
golden goblets gleamed.
The King stepped forward.
With every step, whispers slithered into his ears.
“Drink, O King.”
“It belongs to you.”
“Everything shall be yours.”
His gaze fell upon the goblet.
It was shaped like…
Toxcid’s smile.
A grotesquely curled grin.
And eyes twisted into an eerie X.
Inside, a black liquid swirled.
And yet—
It did not feel ominous.
Rather…
Its scent was sweet. Enticing.
The King’s fingers moved—
reaching, trembling, yearning.
The Price of the First Bargain
“Drink, and everything shall be yours.”
Toxcid’s voice purred like a lullaby.
And the King—
He did not stop.
But then—
One of the Kings turned to him.
“What will you lose?”
The King froze.
He had never once considered it.
“Nothing is given without cost.”
The man smiled.
And then—
His face began to change.
His eyes twisted into an X.
His lips stretched into a smile too wide, too wrong.
It was—
Himself.
The King staggered back.
“What will you lose?”
The question echoed once more.
But this time—
He no longer cared.
He wanted more.
And so—
He drank.
The Second Addiction – The Door Will Not Close
The black liquid burned as it slid down his throat.
And then—
His body twisted.
“Khh—!”
His heart ignited like fire.
His mind convulsed.
The world shattered before his eyes.
The banquet hall collapsed.
The gemstones melted into tar.
The golden floor crumbled into dust.
The King fell.
And as he gasped for breath—
He realized.
He was once again standing before the door.
But this time—
The door had not disappeared.
Something still waited beyond it.
Slowly, he lifted his gaze.
A door darker than any mirror.
An abyss deeper than the void.
And standing before it—
That same smile.
🔥 The third night begins.
🔥 Greed now rules his soul.
🔥 And the door… will never close.
